SSHP10: Christmas flowers

Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential challenge#10 is Christmas flowers.  I coloured my image with Stampin up markers and coloured the scalloped edge with the marker to match.  Central flower decoupaged and gold stickles added to centres.  Simple!

Sketch & Stash Turkey

For all my non-UK Bloggy Buddies.. in case your wondering why I'm using a Turkey on my Christmas card, its because we don't do Thanksgiving over here and traditionally we have Turkey for Christmas dinner! (this one's from High Hopes stamps)

Sketch from Sketch & Stash challenge #25

My 'stash' is the snowflake ribbon brad I got at the craft fair in the Kings Hall, Belfast - but only because theyre too nice to use!  Also the downloaded papers from Pink Petticoat - I think I've only used these about 3 times since I got them!

Simon Says ... Let It Snow

Another outing for my turkey - the little sign usually says 'go vegan' but I masked it out so I could put a Christmas greeting there instead.

Simon Says challenge this week is Let it Snow - I had intended to get this finished so I could enter it in their Charms challenge but didn't have time, so luckily the little snowflake charm can also pass for this challenge!  Added some flower soft for Snow.

Sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp #17

Shiney Turkey

This one's for Stamptacular Sunday challenge #36 - Let it Shine.  I used my shiney silver card on the top of the card and also round the sentiment.  Also some stickles added to the turkey lurkey

Ruby-dooby-doo's Christmas card!

Crafty Creations challenge #45 is Christmas for my pet, but I thought I'd give this card to a friend who runs a dog visiting scheme where dogs go into hospitals and residential homes.

I got the little Ruby image in a swap last year - coloured bg with watercolours so I could leave her white and added loads of stickles for some bling.

Thought I'd add in the photo the little Ruby-dog ornament my Mum got me last year.  Our Christmas tree is now up and decorated ... why does it take hours to put up and only a fraction of the time to take it all down!

Colour idea from Papertake Weekly and Creative Inspirations #38 who both had the idea of non-traditional colours on a Christmas card (no red or green)

Sweet Stampin Challenge #3 is Feathered Friends

2s4U Christmas Doggy

OMG...I am sooooooo sick of making Christmas cards!  Hopefully this week will finish my list.

I keep forgetting about this little Daisy & Dandelion stamp - got it as a freebie ages ago in a crafty mag.
Coloured him with copic markers and decoupaged his hat.  Added stickles to his hat and to the little snowflake brad.

Sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You #40

Winter Wonderland's theme #28 is Ho Ho Ho

Look away now Mum!

This is going to be my Mum's Christmas card, I just love these Kraftin Kimmie images that DottyJo kindly stamped for me.
Coloured her (and the matching flower) with copic markers and added loads of stickles.  My borders are peel offs that I 'found' in my stash.

LOADS of challenges covered in this one:
Cute Card Thursday #89 is Swirly Girly - make a card for a girl

Our Creative Corner challenge this week is to use the song "12 days of Christmas" - I thought this image looked like one of the 9 ladies dancing

A Spoonful of Sugar #80 is to make a card using non- Traditional Christmas colours - no red or green

Creative Card Crew #39 is Christmas

Sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches #45

The Pink Eelephant #43 want you to use your favourite colouring medium

And Easy Craft Project's first challenge is a colour theme - something Turquoise

US34 Butterfly Thanks

Mum got me these gorgeous pink sparkly butterfly stickers a while ago and I thought they'd be perfect for this weeks sketch at Unscripted Sketches #34.  I just stuck them to some acetate, cut out and then stuck to the card using a blob of clear glue.  Clean and Simple!

Greg's Christmas card

Isn't this little penguin just the cutest!  He's one of Sweet'n Sassy Digis new releases (I think they're coming out next week).  I coloured him with copic markers and popped up the heart and his little beak
I think I'll give this to Greg for Christmas, I actually managed to get it made without him seeing it!

Sketch from The Sweet Stop #33

Stampin for the Weekend challenge #27  is to make a Christmas card and use Red, green and gold

And The Play Date cafe had almost the same colour combo - red, green and white

Its a chilly, dark, drizzly day here in NI - hope you're warm and dry wherever you are!  I'm just off now for my tea - Greg has just knocked us up steak, chips and all the trimmings .... yummy!  Poor wee Ruby's nose is twitching like she hasn't been fed in a fortnight!

CASE'd Snowman

Treehouse Thursday challenge THT026 is to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) Cathleen Torina's gallery - she has a lot of fabulous cards but I chose this one:

Also for Peachy Keen challenge #17 - a recipe to use the following:

  • polka dot(s) - on my flower

  • a border - stickles border on my main image

  • stripe(s) - on BP

  • stamped image(s) - from Pink Gem Designs

And finally for this evening .... Ryan's card!

High Hopes challenge #55 is a sketch this week

Rosie D's challenge #59 is Red, Green and a bit of bling!

Polka Doodles #28 wanted 3 different papers and a Rubber Stamp

Incy Wincy Designs #20 is Red & Green

Right, that's me finished for the night ... off to bed now.
BTW I've been so lucky recently - I won Ginny's candy and Kaytee's candy and heard this evening that I won Lacey's Bow maker.  It will be like Christmas when all these goodies arrive ... thank goodness as I'm not holding out much hope for any major hints I've been dropping for crafty Christmas presents to be picked up!

Eimear's card

This little snowman was a freebie download, possibly from Dustin Pike (I really must start writing down where I get the freebies from!)

Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential SSHP09 is Hats on
