BOO...?

How not scary is this little witch! Received her ages ago in a swap - used my copic markers to colour her, even though I had a fair idea the colours wouldn't really blend right on the card, but it looks OK.
Used my cuttlebug spiders web embossing folder on the purple c/s and the zippy line is a little edge embossing folder that I've NEVER used before (naughty me!)

Do you like my spider? It's just a big black button with googly eyes and black stickles for legs! So not scary as well!

Just Magnolia #20 is buttons and bows

Xmas Napkin holders

I made these little napkin holders for this week's challenge over at Winter Wonderland #14 - Setting the Table.
Its just a simple strip of white cardstock, used my drippy goo punch along one side, added a strip of coloured paper with Merry Christmas stamped on it, and then stapled the edges together. Simples!

The little sheep is a Penny Black stamp and the others are Stampin Up. Added loads of stickles to images for some bling.

Penny Black Saturday challenge #64 is also Christmas.

And Pile it on challenge #13 is round.

Birthday chick

Stamptacular Sunday's challenge #21 this week is 3-D

I popped my balloon up on dimensionals and embossed my background for loads of texture. Stamp from whipper Snapper and button from my stash.

C is for Circles

I was asked to make a card for a guy who likes fishing and this is what I ended up with! I do have a fisherman decoupage sheet somewhere but could I find it! Of course it will turn up now when I'm not looking for it! Some day I'll get my stash properly organised.

ABC challenge this week is C for Circles - I embossed circles on my background - the paper is a silvery blue sparkly colour but it doesn't really show in photo. Fishies from Stampin Up Fishy Friends

My Auntie Minnie's Aunt Lucy's Birthday Card!

I received this Magnolia image in a swap a while ago - thought she'd be perfect for the Copic Buzz challenge #11 - inspired by nature - I have used flowers and butterflies as my nature theme. I love the DP from DCWV Blossoms and Blooms, but managed to cover most of it up with my main image .. duh!
Coloured with copic markers and sparkly butterfly from my stash.

Sketch from Papertake Weekly #22

Happy Anniversary

Made this for my sister's wedding anniversary. My other half was in no less than 3 craft shops in Belfast, bless him, looking for 'happy anniversary' peel offs and there's not one to be had in the city!

Christmas in August

Made this for the Simon Says Challenge which this week is Christmas in August. And I {LOVE} how it turned out! I've used my new favourite toy, the drippy goo punch - I've fancied one for ages and justified it as BunnyZoe's shop had it 10% off (any excuse, eh?)

I had been blog hopping last night and found a tutorial on how to make a ribbon flower, but of course I didn't keep the link. Anyway, you make a running stitch along the bottom edge of your ribbon and then pull it tight, but I think I should have used a longer length of ribbon.

Papers are oldies from last year's stash, and the little christmas sheepy (Penny Black) has stickles added to his hat and the mistletoe (though come to think of it mistletoe has white berries doesn't it!) Sheep's head 3-D'd and coloured with watercolour pencils.

Also for the ABC challenge which is B for Buttons

The Creative Card Crew #24 also had Christmas in August as its theme.

Sketch from Sketch Saturday #65

Birthday Hedgie

I got this little Penny Black hedgehog image ages ago in a swap, can't think why I never used him (...or is it a 'her'!) Coloured with watercolour pencils and sky chalked.

Birthday Fishes

A very quick 10-minute card! Sketch from Clean & Simple and colour theme from Secret Crafter - Turqoise and Brown. Used more of my DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies and stamp from Stampin Up Fishy Friends. Fish coloured with watercolour pencils and H2Os
Added the fancy corner, but after I'd stuck it down I wished I hadn't!

Papertake Weekly 100th Challenge

Its Papertake Weekly's 100th challenge this week, and the challenge is to use any of their previous challenges. Where to start? There were so many good ones that in the end I chose to combine a few of their previous challenges: A Stitch in Time from 25 Aug 08; The sketch from 4 Aug 08; Thank you theme from 30 June 08; Bit'a'Bling from 30 Dec 07.

As if that wasn't enough, its also for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge #63 which is Stitching. My zig-zag border is hand stitched; face on PB cow is 3-D'd; lovely papers from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies; coloured with copic markers.

Anyway, its a gorgeous bright sunny afternoon here so I'm off out to hang up my washing and do a bit of weeding. Better enjoy it while I can as there's a weather warning out for the rain that's due this evening!

A Summer Cutie!

ETA: I was one of the 10 winners at The Pink Elephant with this card!

Isn't she just a cutie! I came across Bee Crafty's blog and she has the lovliest digi images. I coloured her with copic markers and added a gogglie eye to the duck. Papers are from the first pack of designer paper I ever bought many moons ago! The wooden flower is also an oldie - coloured it with my markers to co-ordinate with the pink'n'black theme.

Ever had one of THOSE days?...

Well I had one today in work, and that's most definately me in the card! By the time 5 o'clock came I was ready just to throw our entire computer network out of the nearest window!

But making this card definately cheered me up! The image was a freebie download, but I've misplaced the deets of where I found it (if you know please leave a link and I'll update it here). The sentiment is from a Stampin Up stamp I bought from ebay - I think it might be from Wanda's words of wisdom, but not sure (I just masked off the image in the stamp and used the text.)

Sketch from Stamps & Smiles #28
Coloured with copic markers and red stickles added for a bit of sparkle. Prima flowers coloured with copics to match image. Teeth and eye's coloured with white glaze pen.

A cutie Get Well

I'd actually made this card to practice my Copic colouring using the tutorials on Copic Creations, but I've just noticed that I should have had hearts on it somewhere, so I'll have to sort that tomorrow! [ETA: Heart gem now added (glue not dry before photo taken as usual!)] The challenge was Red, Pink & Hearts - I only have one red marker R29 so I had to do a LOT of blending with my pink marker R20! It bled a little bit into the bear, but its not too bad.

Sketch from The Corrosive Challenge # 25

and The Secret Crafter Saturday's challenge #45 is Fancy Corners - I know my corners aren't really very fancy, but I just discovered the tutorial on SplitcoastStampers on Photo Corners and its a much better method than I'd been using (even if I did horlix it up a bit when mounting on the white c/s!)

Happy New Decking!

This card was another one of those very strange requests I get now and then! Its for a friend who's niece has just had new decking put down in her garden and they're having an 'opening night' party (...well any excuse is a good one!)

I used my Magnolia window frame and cut out the central panels, so I would have something 'wooden' on the card! Coloured with copic markers and silver peel offs used for greeting.

Sketch from Sweet Sunday #31

I'm also entering it into this week's Allsorts Challenge Blog #14 - An English Country Garden ... I know I'm stretching it a bit, but where else would you find decking and flowers but in the garden!

I'd also used the colours Chocolate brown, celery and blush blossom for another challenge but forgot to write the blog name down, DUH

Tall Ships

Just thought I'd upload a couple of me, Greg and Mum at the Tall Ships visit to Belfast. We went yesterday and to say it was a bit wet is the understatement of the year! But as the saying goes we're neither salt nor sugar and it was lovely to see all the old ships.
Some of the larger ships have been on the go since the beginning of May - they started the race in Spain, then across to the Canary Islands, over to Bermuda, Charleston, Boston and Halifax and then finished the race in Belfast!

Puppy Dog Christmas

I'd almost forgotten to take part in the Winter Wonderland challenge #11 - Twinkle & Sparkle, so only just made it before the next challenge is posted tomorrow!

This little doggy was a freebie a month or two ago with a craft magazine. Decoupaged his hat and feet and added loads of stickles to his hat and to the centre of each snowflake on the embossed BG. White snowflake is a button I bought in the January sales. Sentiment from Stampin Up 'Loads of love' set.

Sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You #32

Also for ABC challenge - A is for Animal

Happy Halloween

This week's challenge at Polka Doodles #13 was to make a card with more than one fold. I thought I'd have a go at a stair fold card, as I've never made one before - got my directions from Beate's tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.

Used my spider's web embossing folder for the purple BG and all the ghosts and ghoulies are all ready-made toppers.

And the deliberate mistake was ....?

.... the wrong names! AARGH! I would quite often email my home email from work if I get a special request for a card, and unfortunately opened the wrong email! Debra and Pat got married last month! I've heard that dental floss can help lift something stuck by mistake so I'll have to give that a go tomorrow.
Sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar #64
Also for The Corrosive Challenge #24 - Let's Get Married
Forever Friends stamp, coloured with watercolour pencils and pink stickles added for highlights.

Happy Birthday Minnie (2)

Cute Card Thursday's challenge #73 is At The Beach. These little beach huts reminded me of our hoilday in Cornwall a few years back.

Coloured with copic markers and little pink gems added as door handles. Hand stitched border. Little shell charm from BunnyZoe's web shop.

Happy Birthday Minnie (1)

Isn't this little boy just the cutest! Its a freebie download from the challenge over at Copic Buzz #9

Also for Three Clovers Designs challenge #26 - Techie Time - use a digital download.

Coloured with Copic markers. Cuttlebug embossing folder used for BG and flowers coloured with copic markers to match image.

Good Luck Sarah-Jane

I made this little tag card for a friend in work who's moving on to a new job. Just kept it pretty simple - coloured with copic markers and turquoise butterfly gems and silver peel off greeting added. Flower from Floradoodle.

Sketch from Just Magnolia #17

A bargain!

Do you like my new stamp - it was a total bargain from Stamp Galaxy at just 50p! Its a 'second' but I really can't see very much wrong with it! If you fancy your chances have a look in the Toodles & Binks Adoption Centre of their website.

Coloured with copic markers and little house charm from BunnyZoe's Crafts added. Circles folder from Ellison embossed using my Cuttlebug and silver peel off letters used to spell greeting.

Sketch from The Cuttlebug Spot #43

Colour theme from The Pink Elephant #27 - turqouise, brown and neutral

If you've caught it, I don't want it!

These See-D stamps are from one of my oldest sets, sadly unloved and for the most part unused!

I stamped the butterfly twice and mounted both times on dimensionals, then added turquoise stickles to the dots on the wings. Also added some turquoise wire for the antenna. Hand stitched border. Simples!

Sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping #54

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #44 is Cute as a Bug

Pile it On #10 is no patterned paper

Banana Split Sunday is cardstock only

Gorjuss buttons and roses and ribbon!

I re-discovered this punch in the depths of my stash... but its now discovered its way into the rubbish bin! Keeps missing bits or ripping bits it shouldn't ... at least now I know why it was at the very back of my stash!

Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl coloured with Copic markers and slightly popped a bit with dimensionals. I also doodled some faux stitching in white - click on the photo to see it a bit better. Silver peel off greeting added.

Sketch from The Sugar Bowl #16

One Stop Craft Challenge #41 has roses as its theme (I have roses on my BP)

Simon Says Challenge this week is Buttons & Bows .

Good news x 2!

Good news 1: Discovered this morning I'd won the goodies for my sparkly blue snowman card from the One Stop Craft Challenge so some Christmas embellishments are coming my way. Just what I need too, as I don't really have many Christmas embellishments and I'm sure you're sick of looking at my Tesco snowflakes! LOL

Goood news 2: Lorraine from Coldwaters2 blog sent me this lovely flower award which I haven't seen before. Thanks very much Lorraine! Be sure and visit her blog and see her gorgeous creations!

ETA: I've just noticed I have to nominate five people that I would like to pass it onto plus five things I like to do:
1. Crafting (...duh statement of the obvious!)
2. Chocolate
3. Visiting my bloggy buddies
4. Gardening (but NOT weeding!)
5. Holidays (...did I mention I'm off to Rome in a few weeks!)

I'd like to pass this award to
1. Pat
2 Pinky
3. Nilla
4. Riet
5. And ..you! If you haven't already got this award, please help yourself!

Summer time!

Oh dear, she should been on her summer-time diet! And a bit of fake tan wouldn't have gone amiss either!

Coloured with copic markers and pink stickles added to her bikini.
Dovecraft paper

Papertake Weekly challenge is to make a card for a season ... this lady would most definately only be seen on the beach in summer (I think that was one week last month!)

Three Clovers Designs challenge 25 is also Super Summery

Scrappy Frogs challenge 10 is Summer Fashion - I've included a little silver charm of flip-flops

Introducing .... Sonni

This card looks so much better in real life! I just can't get the colours to photograph properly! The image - Sonni - is another of Pjay's own range of stamps
Sketch from Sweet Sunday
Daring Cardmakers challenge this week is Bejewelled Bliss - I added loads of orange glitter to Sonni's top and pink stickles to the heart and the flower in her hair. Blue stickles added to her party shoes and little orange gems also added.
Crafty Creations challenge #27 is Buttons
Creative Inspirations challenge #20 is Doodling - I doodled the borders
Die Cut Dreams challenge #8 is Fashion Frenzy - there seems to be a colour fashion this summer of 'clashing' colours - so I gave little Soni and orange and pink top!

Copic Buzz Colouring Challenge

ETA 11 Aug 09: I won the Copic Buzz goodies with this card - a gorgeous stamp and some ribbon!

Buonasera!
We just booked our holiday today for Rome. We go at the start of October and I'm sooooo excited! Just need to brush up on the lingo now!

Anyway, made this card last night for the Copic Buzz challenge #8 - colouring on clothing. I won this Sugar Nellie stamp a few months back when Linda had some blog candy. I like how my jeans turned out, but I think I got the light source a bit wrong on the top.
I also coloured the primas with my Copics to match the girl's top.
