Sandra's Birthday card
Ohhh how can it be Sunday evening already! It's been one of those dreary damp and cold days, so at least I didn't feel guilty not being out and about!
I had a nice morning yesterday at the Craft Show down in Belfast. Though there were definitely not as many exhibitors as last time, and I didn't really spot that many bargains, except for my new guillotine marked down from £35 to £20!
This wee card is for my workmate. Not much stamping on this card ... just the Paper Smooches sentiment and the lined squares from Stamps by Judith. Whimsy die cut butterflies and not sure of make of flower punch.
Layout based on sketch from Sweet Sunday #1172
The Corrosive challenge #162 - flutter by
Hotshot Craft #13 - butterflies
Oldie but a Goodie - anything but Christmas (I've used some old DP)
Crafty Cardmakers #79 - one than one punch or die cut
Penny Black at Allsorts November challenge - any die will do
Divas by Design #61 - anything goes

Non Traditional Christmas colours
This week's challenge at High Hopes is to make a Christmas card, but
I was aiming for a 'male' Christmas card, so I've gone for blues and purple and added loads of glitter ... as usual! My image is Homespun Hearts Snowy - coloured with copics; main image and then hearts popped up on dimensionals.
Whimsy sentiment & die and Memory Box circular die.
Sketch from Sketch Saturday #233

Xmas card #21
Just a quickie post ... it's movie night in our house and tonight its The Hunger Games. I haven't read the books, but I believe they're fab, so we'll see what the movie's like!
Oh and yes, our car passed its MOT Yippee ... so that's my crafty pennies safe then instead of having to spend them on car repairs Hee!
I was going for a polaroid effect photo of Ruby here, don't know if it works or not!
Wee bit of colouring with copics, clear gloss on her nose, a paper pieced ruby crown and pressie and some flower soft snow. Marianne die cut tree and Paper Smooches sentiment

Thankful House
I've been very lucky recently and won this fab stamp set Where your Heart Is by commenting on a post on the Simon Says Stamp blog. I LOVE it!
I stamped my wee house on kraft paper and popped it up on dimensionals and then the windows and doors too, and added some red glitter to the hearts. Other than that .... a bit of embossng and that's it really!
Have a great weekend - its a brrr chilly and rainy morning here. Our car is away for its MOT, so hopefully Greg comes home with good news!
Sketch from Stamptacular Sunday #188
Cupcake Craft Challenge #217 - get krafty
Top Tip Tuesday # 89 - we're all heart - my top tip is not to skimp on dimensionals when you're using them or your image/pop up will sag where it's not supported - I cut my squares in half so I can get twice the coverage.
Party Time Tuesday #93 - thank you
Crafty Creations #195 - no flowers
Fab 'n' Funky #146 - bingo - I used twine / embossing / kraft

High Hopes #155: Snowflakes and Buttons
OMGosh, the weeks are flying past! It will be Christmas in no time at all!
Anyway, its Tuesday, so time for a new challenge over at High Hopes and this week its ...
Image from High Hopes: Snowy's Friends
I've used clear gloss on their noses/beak and lots of glitter on this card (snow, snowflake, snowman's buttons etc)... as far as Christmas cards are concerned, the more glitter the better I say! Coloured with mixture of copics and Spectrum Noir markers.
Marianne snowflake die and button from stash.
Other challenges...

Xmas Card #19
I was lucky enough to win this cutie on the All That Scraps blog a few weeks ago, so thought I'd need to get a move on with my Christmas cards! I think she might feature on Greg's Christmas card, wish my waist was that size LOL!
Note to self... next time you use your new poinsettia die, don't make them exactly the same colour as your DP!! Doh!

Smiler!
Thought I'd have a bash at a scrapbook page to see if that will inspire my mojo to come back .... its such a dark cold day today, if he's away somewhere warm and sunny he'll never come home :(
I'm just a tad behind in my scrapbooking, this is my wee niece and she's already 2 and a half, so I'd need to get a move on! Isn't she a cutie.
Can't remember the make of this DP, but its lovely embossed stuff, feels like flock.
Fence, scallop and heart die cuts; flower punch
Little birdie from a Paper Smooches set.

Fishy Finnigan
This is the first card I've made in ages that actually turned out better than what it looked like in my head!

Sketch from Skipping Stones #151

Getting Spruced Up
No new challenge from us at High Hopes (our blue, black and white colour challenge is running for another week) Instead, Kristine has a fab tutorial on how to colour a black penguin
... yes, I made my card before I read it!
My card uses Getting Spruced Up from High Hopes ... coloured with promarkers and paper pieced his hat and starts. There's loads of glitter on this card, but it doesn't show up how sparkly it is. I used a fine glue pen and added diamond glamour dust to the swirls at the end of his scarf/star ornament, and to the tops of the snow piles too. I also blinged up my bling and added some red stickles to my red gems!
Sentiment from Lili of the Valley - though I wish I'd placed my image better so that the sentiment wasn't as squished.
Sketch from CPS - Pick your favourite ~ I used #139
I love Promarkers #140 - Christmas is coming
ABC Christmas challenge - U for Up to you
Pile it On #43 - any holiday

Paper Smooches sentiment.

This week's challenge at High Hopes is a colour one ...
My card uses Leapin Lewis, and Merry Christmas sentiment. Coloured with a mixture of pencils and promarkers. Lots of sparkle added to his scarf, heart and blades and white flower soft to his hat. I also got my heat tool out for the first time in maybe a year, and heat embossed my sparkly sentiment.

I've used some new goodies on this card too - I treated myself to this poinsetta die set and lovely baubles border. And how much am I lovin my gorgeous tinsel ribbon!!! :)

Rory's Birthday card
This card is for a boy called Rory. Get it? Ha!
I'm not sure what make these stamps are ... possibly either Hambo or Eat Cake Graphics. I layered up my cityscape and then covered an entire row up with my circular panel! Duh.
Popped my dinosaur up on dimensionals and added glitter to his spines and a couple of googley eyes.

Butterflies and Roses
I bought some of this fancy rose ribbon ages ago and it's sat in my 'too pretty to use' stack! So I forced myself to use it, along with one of my favourite Lily of the Valley stamps and this gorgeous DP. I ran out of room for a sentiment, but don't really think it needs one anyway.

High Hopes Hop!
It is time for the High Hope's Blog Hop to Celebrate the Penguin Friend's release!
The High Hopes Divas have created some fun projects to showcase the stamps that are being released today.
The release includes 12 images, 1 background design, and 10 Sentiments illustrated by Laurie Furnell.
There is candy along the hop. You won't know where, so leave a comment at each stop!
The blog hop will run through Midnight EST Sunday, October 7th with the winners of the candy posted on Monday, October 8th.
You should have arrived from Tanya's blog. If you haven't, you'll want to start at the top at the High Hope's Blog so you don't miss any of the fun. From here you will hop over to visit Tina.
My card uses 'Penguin Friends' - coloured with copics and white flower soft added to the trim on their hats/ear muffs (I touched the white flower soft on the ear muffs with a blue copic marker so it just looks like blue fluffy fur)
