Xmas card #05

And finally for the evening...!
I got some of this fab fluffy stuff at the craft show and couldn't wait to have a wee play!  I love it!
I also got a pack of the Spectrum Noir red markers, but they're taking a bit of getting used to!

Image from High Hopes - coloured with mixture of promarkers and Spectrum Noir.  Silver metal stars from stash.

Eeek a flying mouse!

I haven't played in the High Hopes challenge for a while, so thought I'd have a go at their purple theme this week.  Didn't realise my pic was so out of focus though!  If I remember, I'll take a better one tomorrow.  (the silver text on the tab marker says Many Happy Returns)

Coloured my wee HH mouse with promarkers and had a bash at adding some flowers.  I've officially added 'flowers' to my 'Aarrrgh' list, along with buttons and swirls!!  They always look amazing on other people's cards, but usually look pants on mine! ;)
Die-namics file tab die.

ETA: I won High Hopes purple challenge with this card!

Amy's birthday card

I had an unexpected crafty day today!  I'd planned to get loads of work done outside, a beautiful sunny day, but a cold wind that would cut you in two!  So anyway I got happed up in all my winter woolies and waterproof jacket and started power hosing our driveway.  Half way down the 'bleeping' thing broke!  Grrr!  So I've an unfinished job, a broken power washer and still had to go through the chore of tidying everything away and stripping off into the washing machine and then getting warmed up!
So that cancelled any outdoor activities and out came my crafty goodies instead.  Hooray!

Coloured my wee girl with a mixture of copics and promarkers and used my new heart border die from Taylored Expressions.  Added loads of glitter to her fairy wings.  Paper Smooches alphabet stamps.

Catchin' flutterbies

Thought I'd get my cute TCP bunny out in an effort to get my mojo back.  I was going great guns ... loved the sketch and my gorgeous DP (recent purchase from the Belfast craft show) and then I went and stuck down my 'fence' in the wrong place and covered up the tails of my spotty DP strips. Doh!   Ah well, I still like it!

Fence die from Taylored Expressions; DP from We R Memory Keepers. Black sparkly peel off sentiment was a pressie from my lovely Mum.  Rediscovered a pack of faux buttons (Papermania) in my craft stash from a couple of years ago, not sure why I haven't used these as I love them!

Get Well Smooches

Hee, did you miss me?  We've been super busy in work and I've had no mojo, but I did get a wee visit to the craft show in Belfast to buy some new goodies .. none of which I've actually used on this card (but I'm sure I'll be sharing some over the next while!)  Not too many bargains about, and I managed to spend a fortune, but sure I'll enjoy playing with them!

I hope to get a wee visit round  my bloggy buddies over the next night or two, but there's a programme on Rome tonight that I want to see ... and pretend we're back there again!

  • This card is for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge.  I was inspired by the colour theme (my panel to the right is actually purple, but for some reason it always photographs slightly bluey) and I embossed my kraft cardstock to match the little cones.  I thought this would make a good get well card for a bloke, not too girly or fussy!

  • Kaboodle Doodles #116 - emboss it
  • Catered Crop - get krafty recipe swap

Brittany's birthday card

Hope the sun is shining with you ... it is here, so I'm determined to vanquish my weeds in the front garden today!

This is another of the special order cards on my list.  Brittany is horsey-mad and I think this is the only horse stamp I have!  I wasn't sure what to do with the sentiment so added it in a rosette.

Horse and fence from Woodware.  Added clear gloss to his hooves and stickles to his noseband.  Flower soft for grass.

Happy Birthday Hamish

I can't believe its Friday already!  I've had a great week cleaning and painting, and my house is sparkling. Didn't quite make it to the weeds in the garden, but there's always tomorrow!
I've been rediscovering my old stamps after a tidy out, and this wee Sugar Nellie stamp hasn't seen ink for aaaaages!  It was another one I bought because it had a 'Ruby' on it!  And my star sizzix die hasn't been used for a long time either.  Bad me.

Coloured with a mixture of copics and promarkers.  Paper pieced his jumper and added clear gloss to his wellies.  Basic Grey DP.

Here's a wee photo of the best singer in town - doesn't he look like a happy chappie!  This wee blackbird chirps away at the bottom of our garden for hours on end (... though I can't say its just as pleasant at 4am!)

Bath time bubbles!

I've had a busy couple of days spring cleaning, and came across this photo of my wee niece and thought I'd add it to my {much neglected} scrapbook.  Isn't she a cutie!

Letters and heart from Paper Smooches.  No idea about the fish, they've been knocking about my craft box for years!
Added some dots of clear stickles round the edge and black stickles to the fish eyes, but doesn't really show up in pic.

Get well duckie

Hope you're enjoying our long bank holiday weekend (even though the weather is pants!) ... I'm off all week.  We've loads of wee jobs to do, but have so far managed not to do any. Ha!

I won this wee Toodles and Binks stamps aaaaages ago, but thought I'd give him an inking today.  Popped my duck up on dimensionals and added some stickles to his beak and legs, and a wee touch on the water.  Punched flowers. Lili of the Valley sentiment.

Sarah's Birthday card

I think this is one of my favourite LOTV images - just wish I would sit down and practice colouring her hair, instead of just ploughing on ... it's ended up much darker than I'd intended!
Coloured with promarkers and central image popped up on dimensionals.  I had a run in with an ink pad, which left me with a few splodges on my card ... but hurrah for Martha Stewart butterflies to save the day!  Sentiment / letters from Paper Smooches.  Gorgeous sparkly number stickers were a pressie from my Mum.

Hope you've had a good Easter.  My Easter egg is calling to me from the kitchen ... shhh, don't tell Slimming World! :-)

Xmas Card #04

I was lucky enough recently to win a set of Unity stamps from Lisa and Emily's Take Two challenge, and this little snowdude was one of the stamps in the set.  I've also used a wee postmark stamp from Lili of the Valley which I've been eyeing for ages and finally caved in and bought some!

More crazy bunnies

Ohhh brrr, its such a cold evening.  This time last week we were breaking all the records for being so warm, today? .... Snow!

It's my usual last minute rush for Easter cards, so I'm afraid I've gone very CAS (....so sorry to any of my family who are expecting a fancy card Ha!)

All images from Paper Smooches; DP oldie stuff from my stash.

Emily's Birthday Card

Oh dear, what happened to our summer? This time last week half the country was tooting round in shorts and t-shirts, but now it's back to boots and cosy jumpers and frost at night!  I  nearly planted out my peas, but I think I'll hold off for another week .... I'm off work all of Easter week and my 'to do' list is growing by the minute!

I've discovered that I'm 'flower-challenged' as well as being 'button-challenged'!  I'll not confess how long I faffed about with it!  I also managed to use some flourishes, which was another half hour faffing about too!
I ran out of room to get Emily's age on the card, and then I remembered seeing this corner idea in blogland somewhere - just a wee nestie circle squared off at the corner - of course I can't remember where I saw it, so if it was you ... thanks!

Coloured with copics and some stickles added to her hairband, pressie, and skirt.
