Engagement Congrats

I've been admiring everyone's 'white' cards for ages but haven't been brave enough to try one until today, and I LOVE how it turned out, I'm definitely going to be trying more of these.
This one uses one of the first stamps I ever bought (and of course is rarely used!) - I think it's an old Stampin Up one.  Just stamped it in black ink and added some wee scratch marks to match the hand drawn border on the base.  Clear gloss and glitter added to the rings and diamonds onto the beautiful Memory Box die.  The white ribbon with a silver edge has been unloved in my stash for quite a few years.

Oh and in case I go MIA, its because I took a notion recently for some cross stitching!  I haven't done any since I started card making, but I saw this harbour town one and had to have it!  (We should take guesses on how long it's gonna take me to finish it ... I reckon maybe Christmas!!)

Escape with a book!

TCP challenge this week is ABC (Anything But a Card) so I thought I'd have a go at a wee page marker.
HERE's the link to the tutorial.
I used this fab airplane from The Cat's Pyjamas and some cloud dies, easy peasy!  Though a bit of ink mysteriously smudged on the bottom bit so I tried to distract from it by drawing in a bird.  Coloured with copics and clear gloss and glitter added to highlights on plane.

Going Batty!

OMGosh how did it get to be Thursday already, and nearly the end of February too!  Time is certainly flying!
Talking of flying (ha!) how cute is this little Paper Smooches bat!

(By the way, Paper Smooches have a wee hop on at the minute with their new releases ... check their blog for more deets)

Coloured Batty with copic markers, popped him up on dimensionals and then popped his eyes up again.  Chalked my sky using Bev's cloud template and popped this central panel up on dimensionals too.  Couldn't get it to photograph right tho .. my blue clouds have a touch of turquoise in them.  Roll on the bright nights to get some decent pics again!

Dream Valley Challenge #26

Whoops!  I'm a wee bit late for the new challenge over at Dream Valley, but sure it's better late than never!  Anyhoo our new theme this fortnight is...
Just for Men
The prize is some fab digis from Bugaboo - you've a fortnight to play along and make anything you like, doesn't have to be a card.

I had my card all sorted in my mind and then all of a sudden I seemed to have these gorgeous bright happy DPs stuck down!  Wasn't what I'd planned at all!

Other challenges:

ETA: I won 2xPickled Tink images from Do You Stack Up #59!

    Gretta's birthday card

Sorry I've been MIA all week ... no it wasn't the CPS marathon that finished me off, but another {bleepin} cold!  It's barely been a month since the last bout, so hopefully that's me for a while!

But at least it didn't stop me going to see Grease at the Opera House in Belfast yesterday with my sis.  And it was FAB-U-LOUS!  I've always had a bit of a thing for the film, so I couldn't help but love the live version!

This card was inspired by this week's featured stamper over at Splitcoaststampers ... Becky - here's her original.
I used a flower stamp from Stampendous 'happy flowers'; Marianne Design DP; Paper Smooches alphabet; green pearls.

    Hangin' in there!

Hooray!  15 sketch challenges in 15 days, I definitely didn't think I'd make it to the end on time!  So this is it, day 15 of the CPS Anniversary sketch challenge.
I've used a High Hopes chameleon (can you tell that my bag of High Hopes stamps was on my table today LOL!), coloured with copics and clear gloss added to his eyes.

    Iced cupcake

I'm so short on birthday cards, I've hardly any in my stash.  This one is super CAS, just popped the image panel up on dimensionals, paper pieced the cupcake wrapper and candle, and added some sparkle and clear gloss to the icing.
Image from High Hopes, no idea about the DP!

    Birthday Robot

I don't think I've ever seen a green robot, but hey, its my card and I'll have it whatever colour I want LOL!

Image and sentiment from High Hopes (have you seen their fab new alien's, they're absolutely adorable!)
    Spaceship DP from Bo Bunny
Coloured with promarkers and glitter added to his party hat and to the cherry on his cupcake.

    Alex's Birthday card

Last post for the evening, think I'm only one behind in the CPS challenges now!  This one is for my wee niece's birthday on Valentine's Day - I can't believe she's 2 already!  I'm so glad my PS stamps arrived in time, as I wanted to be able to put her name on her card.  I love that font!

    Image from Nellie Snellen
    Paper Smooches Alphabet stamps
    Echo Park DP
Coloured with promarkers; glitter added to her bracelets; clear gloss added to the nose of the dog (at least, I think its a dog!)

    Love SPARKS

I'm so pleased I ordered this wee Paper Smooches monster, I'd been eyeing him up for aaaages.  I've teamed him here with a balloon stamp from a really old Stampin Up set.
Coloured with promarkers and popped up on dimensionals.

    Birthday Puppy

I've been trying to keep up with the CPS Anniversary challenge, but have got a bit behind, so apologies for blogger overload this eve!
I'd glanced at this wee LOTV Christmas doggy and thought he'd make a fine Birthday card.  Of course I had everything stuck down when I realised there was a sprig of holly in the image.  Doh.  Too late to unpick anything so I just covered it up with my sentiment, problem solved!

Image from Lili of the Valley; Paper Smooches sentiment.
    Coloured with promarkers
Clear gloss and glitter added to the pup's party hat.
    Swiss dots embossing folder.

    Greg's Valentine's card

Hooray, my new Paper Smooches stamps arrived today!
BOOOO to the Post Office who nabbed my parcel and charged me an extra £8 to get it back for customs duties!  I'm near enough positive that the limit used to be £18 but its now £15 ... and I know I was a couple of quid over the £18 mark anyway, but £8 to pay Customs seems a bit steep to me!  Grrr!
Ah well, at least they arrived in time to make a wee Valentine's card for Greg.  Pity I couldn't get a decent pic though!

    Pretty in Pink

Just a quickie post tonight ... me and my mojo are half asleep!
Don't think I'd fancy paying me by the hour to make cards .. this one took 2 nights to make!  Flowers were on and off again, swirls were cut and discarded, butterflies were punched and chucked, and in the end I went totally CAS!  Even the sentiment is a 3rd attempt LOL!

    Bunny and Butterflies

(Click HERE for details on this week's Dream Valley Challenge)

It's not very often I make a card that I really like, but I really, really LOVE how this wee card turned out!
Apart from the deliberate mistake when I stamped my butterflies on the centre panel upside down of course. Ha!
(image and sentiment from The Cats Pyjamas)

    Happy Bark-Day

(Click HERE for details on this week's Dream Valley Challenge)

Hee this was another of the stamps I was suckered into buying becuase it had a cute 'Ruby' on the front!
At the minute she's curled up over my feet, not that I'm complaining as they've been like 2 slabs of ice all day!

Loads of paper piecing here (the only things I actually coloured was the little robin and the chocolate cake).

    Dream Valley Challenge #25

Challenge time again at Dream Valley Challenges, and this time our theme is
    Valentine!
We want to see your lovey dovey creations - doesn't have to be a card, make anything you like (max 3 entries)  There's a fab prize up for grabs from Joanna Sheen.  (You've a fortnight to play along)

My card uses this fab wee bunny from The Cats Pyjamas, I must confess I bought it because of the sentiment LOL!  I popped his little wings up at the top and added clear gloss and loads of glitter.  I've also discovered how much I love silicone glue, far quicker and handier than dimensional pads, though the nozzle on my glue is already clogged up and solidified!

Other challenges ... (love is definitely in the air in blogland!)

    CPS Anniversary Day 5

This card is for my brother's birthday - I must be stuck in a 'fishy' rut as its been a recurring theme recently, but he does have some gorgeous tropical fish and I'd originally got this stamp with him in mind!

Anyway, its Day 5 of the CPS challenges and I'm still keeping up!  Though I've taken HUGE liberties with their sketch today, so I hope it's still OK.  I had originally planned to put my balloon on a separate panel but then it looked too cluttered so I just cut it out and popped up on dimensionals.

Fishy balloon from High Hopes; cityscape from Hambo.  Coloured with pencils and stickles added to bubbles in balloon.

    CPS Anniversary Day 4

This card is for my uncle Ivan, bit of a last minute rush job, but luckily the DPs and stamp I had used for Greg's card were still knocking about my kitchen craft table.

Image from High Hopes - coloured with copics - clear gloss and glitter added to the bubbles and splashed water.

    CPS Anniversary Day 3

Hooray, I'm off work the rest of the week!  We had a lovely day faffing about and tootling round the shops, and I managed to get caught up on my CPS challenges (yes I know, I'm behind already, def don't think I'll make it to challenge 15 in time!)

This card uses a High Hopes image - coloured with pencils - and Paper Smooches Sentiment.
