For some reason I haven't played in the High Hopes challenges for ages ... so I rectified that today! This weeks challenge is to use orange, brown and a circle - my photo doesn't quite show the DP properly, but there are orange circles on it and also orange on the dragon's 'spots'. The plain BP is a dark chocolate brown, but looks blacker in the pic.
Dragon image coloured with copics and stickles added to the icing on the cake and to the dragon's wings. Loads of orange gems also added for some extra bling.

Birthday Dudette!
This card originally started life as a little circular card, but I decided it was a bit flimsy so I dismantled it and remounted it as a central panel. Not sure of make of little girl (got it as part of a swap)

Ultra Clean & Simple card
How's this for an ultra-quick and ultra-simple card! Francesca sent me these goodies recenlty when I won her candy and thought they were pretty enough to use on their own.

Saturday Spotlight #20 is Clean it up (definately an easier challenge for me than last week's Mess it up!)

Penny Black thank you bear
Hope you're having a good Saturday - we had a hint of spring with a gorgeous bright sunny day, great to see it as it rained from morning to night all yesterday! This is one of my favourite and most used Penny Black stamps - Coloured with copic markers and button and orangey flower also coloured to match DP. Saw the little knotted ribbon idea when I was blog hopping so thought I'd give it a go. Gold peel off greeting and gold gems to finish.

CRAFT Challenge #39 is a recipe - ribbons and bling

Get Well Kitty
I needed another Get Well card so used this digi from Sweet'n Sassy - Naughty Kitty. The sketch follows this weeks Splitcoaststampers sketch SC269 and the colour theme from Copic Colour Challenge #53
Supplies:
Silver flat backed pearls, grey ribbon, gold gems (on butterfly)
Copic markers C3, C5, C7, E31, TG00, YG03, YR02, YR07, Y17

SNSS Digi - Cocoa's Chocolates
Mmmm... don't these look like yummy choccies! I couldn't resist using them for my Sweet'n Sassy DT post this week! (See them HERE in the Sweet'n Sassy digi store and the sentiment HERE)
I coloured the image with my copic markers and then popped the choccies up on dimensionals, and then the single choclate on another layer. I added some stickles to the chocolate icing and to Cocoa's nose, then some bling and silver pearls.
It's such a simple card, yet it took me over an hour and a half to make! I've no idea why!
(For more inspiration and samples of fabulous cards using the Sweet'n Sassy digis check out the Digi Blog)

ETA: I've just scrolled down my blog and noticed I'm definately stuck in a pink & brown colour combo!

Cupcake Birthday
And finally for this afternoon, this simple birthday card! Cupcake coloured with copics, base paper pieced, and loads of diamond ice stickles added for the icing.
Crafty Creations #55 is Stitching - I find it impossible to write / draw / sew in a straight line so I used the inside of a smaller nestie as a guide for the stitching round the cupcake.
Colour combo from Colour Create #38
The Treehouse Thursday challenge #37 is Paper Piecing
And One Stitch at a Time's first challenge is (funnily enough) Stitching!

Simon Says ... 3-2-1
Another Get Well card for the Creative Card Crew #45, this time using one of my Shirleys2Girls stamps - coloured with copic markers.
Simon Says challenge this week is a recipe -
3 TYPES OF EMBELLISHMENTS (I've used ribbon, brads and gems)
2 PATTERNED PAPERS you can also use coordinating cardstock :-)

Get well Hedgie
My card stash is a bit non-existent at the minute, so I was glad to see that the Creative Card Crew's challenge #45 is Get Well Soon. This little Penny Black Stamp was coloured with copics and the sky was chalked with little clouds (but doesn't really show up in the pic).
Little Paper Shop #LPSC55 is distressing - I don't use this technique very often as I'm rubbish at it, I either rough it up too much or not enough .... I think in this case I did 'not enough'!
Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential SSHP19 is Do the Mess around and rough your card up - so in addition to the distressed edges I used an Antique Linen pad to sponge round the edges of the pink BP and the main image.

Ruby needs to be Accessorised!
I won this stamp recently as part of a win on the Shirley's 2 Girls blog challenge ... and couldn't wait to get some ink on it! I'll have to get a bag like this for Ruby ... when its wet weather her wee legs and belly are always filthy as they're too close to the ground!
I'm still in Clean & Simple mode and used this week's sketch from Peachy Keen #22
Papertake Weekly is to Check This Out - use some gingham or checks
And Incy Wincy challenge #30 is to Punch it Out - I used an unloved flower punch

Huffy Cat CAS style!
How's this for a super-Clean&Simple card! No bling and no stickles...gasp! Just a few silver pearls to finish. Huffy cat (from Eat Cake Graphics) coloured with copic markers. The darker BP is a chocolate brown with a shimmery finish. (Though I think I had my wonky eyes in when I stuck the DP down!)

SNSS Digi - Sew Happy Cocoa
It was so difficult to choose which image I was going to use today for my Sweet'n Sassy blog DT post, as Sweet'n Sassy have been releasing loads of new digis ... my advice is to check the store's home page frequently and look at the Whats New section!
I eventually chose little Sew Happy Cocoa ... get him HERE, and the matching sentiment set HERE.
I hand stitched round the little blue panel with pink thread and then used a white gel pen for some faux stitching round the edges. The little scissors are from a set of brads I bought at the craft show in Belfast, not knowing when I was ever going to use them, but they're just perfect with Sewing Cocoa!
Don't forget our digi challenge day over at SNR, come and join us for some fun every Thursday! You don't have to use Sweet'n Sassy images to play, but if you have them use them! (Korin will be on the lookout for our Guest Designers and Spotlight Customers from the participants!)
I hope to see you there!
Lynne

A wonderful Valentine's present!
So, what did you get for Valentine's Day? I got flowers, chocolate, a lovely card .... and a brand new baby niece! Isn't she absolutely gorgeous!
And here's her card, hot off the press! Its the usual rubbish photo I'm afraid, but the dark paper is actually a chocolate colour. Stamp from Art Gone Wild, coloured with copics and stickles added to the bubbles.

SNSS Digi - Birdie Delivery
ETA: I was in the Card Patterns Super Six with this card!
For my Sweet'n Sassy DT post this week I've used his sweet little bird (Birdie Delivery - only $0.99) which was released at the end of January but I haven't had a chance to play with it till now! You'll have to trust me when I tell you the button looks the same colour as the bird in real life and the darker pink in the DP, but my photography skills are seriously lacking! Roll on Spring and the brighter nights for better photos!I used my dotty embossing folder on the central image and then popped the bird up on dimensionals. And of course every card needs some bling, so I added some clear gems and silver stickles to the little heart, and a little silver safety pin to the bow to finish.
Don't forget that EVERY DAY is DIGI DAY at Sweet'n Sassy Stamps - check the home page HERE and scroll down to see what's new! And then swing by the SNSS Digi Blog for loads of inspiration from the rest of the Digi Divas!

Some special requests ...
I've been busy all weekend making some special request cards (which I hate making, especially if the requests are very specific!)
Anyway this card was made for a young teenager - got this image ages ago in a swap, must have been 'saving' it for this occasion! I think its the first time EVER that I've coloured hair black and am happy with the result!
Sketch from Our Creative Corner #1
I got out my watercolour pencils for a change for this one. I love this happy clown from High Hopes - added some dew drops as the juggling balls and some orange stickles to his shirt and flower.
Sketch from Sketch Saturday #89
This one's for a baby girl's first birthday who loves teddy bears, so this stamp from Kars was just perfect! I added a purple crochet flower (which isn't as dark as it looks in the pic), I don't have very many and haven't taught myself to make them yet so its very precious!

Siobhan's birthday card
I was asked to make this for a friend of a friend called Siobhan (an old Irish name pronounced 'Shove-On') Its been such a dark damp and generally dreary day here that I felt obliged to use the brightest papers I had!
I paperpieced the cupcake wrapper and added diamond ice stickles to the icing on the cake for loads of bling. Silver peeloff greeting and letters to finish.
