Dog tired!

I went a bit embossing crazy on this wee card, if it didn't move it got zipped through my cuttlebug!  And also had a near disaster when my inky fingers touched the top of my image - that's why there's a wee knot there!  I got some of the silver balls stuff as a freebie with some ribbon and didn't really know what to do with it, so just stuck a bit under my ribbon.  Corners of image paper pieced and sofa and doggy coloured with copics.

Bonetastic!

Hee Hee, bit of a bone-overload going on here!  I started off by versamarking my bg, and then thought my purple strip looked a bit boring, and then as if that wasn't enough, I cut out another couple of bones in purple and added them as the flower centre! 

Sorry I've been a bad blogger recently ... its HECTIC in work as my team mate is off for a fortnight, and I've been too tired in the evenings to hop!  Ah well, at least its the weekend and it's movie night in ours as we haven't seen the last Harry Potter yet, and we're hoping to go to see the new one in 3D sometime soon (preferably when the hoards die down!)

Dream Valley Challenge #10

Time for a new challenge over at Dream Valley, and this fortnight it's...Ribbon

My only problem with having lovely printed ribbons is making myself use it!  Sometimes is just TOO nice!
For my card I've used some freebie ribbons ... all my friends in work save the ribbons from any new clothes purchases (those annoying bits the shops use to hold the garment to the hanger), so I've a great wee bag with every colour possible!  

For my card I've used an oldie Shirley's 2 Girls stamp (... Greg asked why the cat was eating leaves, and was appalled when I told him they were feathers!!!)  Coloured with promarkers and the kitty popped up on dimensionals.

A guilty cat and an even guiltier dog!

I thought I'd get my Shirley's 2 Girls stamps out as they haven't seen ink for a while, but I managed to mess this sketch up a bit and totally forgot about the wee bit of ribbon or whatever sticking out of the image.
Coloured with a mixture of copics / promarkers, the cat is decoupaged and stickles added to his spots and to the feathers.  Martha Stewart fence punch and cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder.

Triplicate Bunnies!

Sorry I've been M.I.A. all week .... its been one of those weeks (again!) in work (finally got my interview date for mid-April, this old restructuring lark has gone on way too long now!) and then today we dismantled our garden fence, put up new crossbars, painted them, got the old wood round to the recycling yard, tidied the garden, and picked the splinters out of my hands....  So I'm pooped now and in need of a wee soak in the bath!  Hopefully we'll have the energy to get the fence panels nailed on tomorrow and if its dry next weekend I'll get it painted ..... don't know why, but I LOVE painting fences!  I reckon if all goes pear-shaped with my job in work I'll set myself up as a fence painter instead! 

Anyway, on to my wee card.  I'm blameing it on tiredness, but I should have had my star ribbon brad higher up and I also had a bit of an unsuccessful attempt at the bleached background technique ... believe it or not this is a text stamp - I think I should have used more 'watery' bleach instead of the thick stuff, maybe it would have stamped better??

Lazy dog

Here's just a wee quickie using a Shirleys2Girls stamp .... coloured my little doggy with promarkers and paper pieced the chair.  Also coloured my bling with a marker to match these gorgeous papers ('Fresh Print' from Deja Views)

Holy Carrots Batman!

Ohhh, Spring is most definately almost here - I noticed it was bright enough when I got home to actually see how badly my garden needs weeded!  Hopefully the rain will keep off till the weekend as the grass is an absolute quagmire and needs a few days drying out before I can tramp over it to get to the weeds! 

Anyway, my card stash is rightly full, so I thought I'd have a bit of fun with this Shirleys2Girls stamp that I bought last year and promtly forgot about ... tsk, tsk!  Coloured with copic markers and then popped the little carrot up on dimensionals.  I liked how it turned out, so I cut out another couple of carrots, added loads of stickles and used them as my embellishments in the bottom corner. (oh, and I see there's the usual blob of un-dried glue ... one of these days I'll wait till its dried before I take the pic !!)
