Happy Halloween

Hope you're having a good halloween! We had THREE lots of trick or treaters! Don't know where they all are this year, last year we were completely cleaned out of treats, even the emergency ones!

Just thought I'd post this card that my SIL Andrea made - isn't it class!

Clean & Simple Christmas

This card is made from digital downloads from Pink Petticoat - Fairy Lights. Coloured in the tree with a copic marker to match the bp. Added stickles to the stars and to the berries on the holly paper. I had coloured some buttons with a red copic, didn't think they were going to dry, stuck on the gems as baubles instead, and then the buttons eventually dried. Oh well, they'll do for another card!

Sketch from the Clean & Simple Stamping Fall-to-layout 66
By the way, if ever you're stuck for a LO for a C&S card, go check out the past links on the Clean & Simple stamping blog, there's loads of really useful samples there!

Who dunnit?

This little dude came as an extra feebie with my order from High Hopes - coloured with copics. Forgot myself when I was doing my shadows and have the shine on his boots going in the wrong direction if you know what I mean!

Colour combo from The Color Dare #40

Loonies Stampers Challenge #64 is to use your Copic markers. I used
E53, E57 for his hair and boots
YR07, YR02 for the hat
BV00, BV02 for his coat
C7, C5, C3 for the trousers
E00, R20 for the skin
YG11 for the grass

Leave it, Watson !

I'm a bit of a sucker for stamps with doggy's on them, so I love this Watson stamp from High Hopes. He's a bit like Ruby, her nose is always stuck in something! Coloured using watercolours with help from Crissy's tutorial. I love how my grass turned out.
Made my flower using the smallest scalloped nestabilities, just added faux stitching and curled the edges slightly.

Colour theme from ABC - G is for Green

Mmmm... Turkey-lurkey

How's this for a Christmas card with a difference! I received my order of High Hopes stamps this morning, so expect to see a few posted here!
Not sure if the BP works though - I embossed some snowflakes into the dotty brown paper to try and make it a bit more Christmassy. Turkey coloured with copics and red stickles added to his ... thing ! ... well I've no idea what its called - do you? Greeting stamp from Elzybells

Winter Wonderland challenge #22 is an open theme - make whatever Christmas themed card you want

Elzybells Blog challenge is Glitter Sparkle and Shine

Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge #3 is Shades of Autumn - Brown, Rust and either Green or Yellow!

Simon Says ... All that Sparkles

It's such a horrible dark damp day here - midday and I needed the light on in my craft room (or should I say kitchen!) But this little chap is sure to cheer anyone up! Coloured him with copic markers and added some stickles for a bit of sparkle to his fancy shirt, nose and hat. Added some dew drops to give some dimension to his juggling balls. My lovley orange flowers were sent to me by Linda.

High Hopes challenge #50 is All about Kids

Love birds!

This is the rest of my goodies which came from Simon Says Stamp - the little Love Birds stamp from Art Gone Wild and the prima dotty flowers (the dots didn't quite match my paper, so I just went over them with a copic marker)
I just heard today that I won the Simon Says Get Well Challenge, added to the Stamptacular Sunday one - total $50 to spend in the Simon Says store. I'm off work the rest of the week (whaddya mean I'm only just back!) and it gives rain tomorrow so I've a feeling I might be going 'shopping' for more crafty goodies!

Sketch from Sweet Sunday challenge #41

CRAFT Challenge #22 is Anniversary - I've temporarily misplaced my Happy Anniversary peeloffs, but I know they're in the crafty cupboard .... somewhere!

The cutest baby!

My lovely postie delivered a parcel today from Simon Says Stamp - goodies I won in a challenge a while back. Isn't this little baby just the cutest! Coloured him with copics and added some clear stickles to the bubbles. Then added a little heart eyelet and a safety pin to finish.

Sketch from 2 Sketches for You #38

One Stop Craft Challenge #52 is Celebration

Daring Cardmakers challenge this week is Favourite things. I've used loads of favourites (there's no point making a card if you don't!):
1. My newest cutest stamp !
2. Circular nestabilities
3. Pretty papers
4. Stickles
5. Ribbon
6. Copic markers
7. Martha stewart punch

Flying Away ....

This was one of those special requests where you just sigh! I was asked to make a card for a girl who's flying off to Prague for her birthday, preferably with an airplane. Of course I don't have ANY stamps or images like that, so I had to do a bit of lateral thinking and remembered this old Snoopy stamp. YEAH! Problem solved! Coloured him with copic markers, added clear stickles to his flying hat and scarf and popped up on dimensionals.

Sketch from Monday Lunchtime Challenge #93 - I had to edit it slightly to get in all my sentiment (made from peel off silver letters)

Peachy Keen challenge #14 is a recipe:
***Make a card
***Use the colors PINK AND BROWN as the main color scheme.
***Use a stamped image (preferably Peachy Keen Stamp - but not required)
***Incorporate a piece of ribbon
***Use some type of glitter (stickles are fine!)

ABC challenge is F is for Flying

Its Fall Y'All

Well its been another dark gloomy wet and windy weekend. Millions of leaves and the odd tree down! But on the bright side I won last week's Stamptacluar Sunday challenge with this card!
This card is for this week's Stamptacular Sunday's challenge #30: It's Fall Y'all. Linda sent me this stamp as some candy a few weeks ago, so it was just perfect! Kept it clean and simple - its the only way I can do men's cards!

Furry Friend!

This was my other new Helz Cuppleditch stamp, its sooo cute! Got my watercolours out for a change, after watching some of Crissy Armstrong's tutorials - if you need a bit of help with watercolouring its definately the place to go for some great advice!

Sketch from Friday Sketchers #75

Allsorts Challenge #24 is Furry Friends

Papercraft Planet have a birthday challenge

Definately my last halloween card!

This is most definately my last Halloween card, I've kinda had a sickner of them and the looming postal strike is the perfect excuse not to make any more as they'll never arrive in the post on time!

Sketch from Stamp With Us - stamps from Stampin Up 'A Haunting we will go', coloured with copic markers. The 'spider' is a dew drop coloured black with legs drawn on the BP!

And Kaboodle Doodle Blog #16 and Stamp with Fun #29 both have Halloween as their themes.

Etsy Inspired Challenge: Little Red Door

Etsy Inspired Challenge #59 is to visit The Little Red Door as the inspiration. These little houses just said 'New Home' to me so I've dusted off my stamps from http://www.onefourzero.co.uk/. Coloured with copic markers and wooden flower added.

JUGS4: 3-d Flower

ETA: I was in the Top 5 at Stampin for the Weekend with this card! And it was also No 2 at Polkadoodle!
This week's challenge at Just Us Girls is to make your own flower - there's a great tutorial on their blog showing how to make tissue paper flowers. Unfortunately I haven't got any tissue so I made mine using the 2 smallest scalloped nesties and inked and curled the edges. Think it looks not too bad for a first attempt!

The Secret Crafter #55 is to use orange and one other colour

Treehouse Thursday #20 is to use embossing - I used my cuttlebug spider's web embossing folder

Copic Buzz challenge #19 is no patterned papers. I got a few new grey's through the post this morning, so this was my first practice trying to achieve the 'black' effect .... I need more practice methinks!

Copic Creations challenge #14 is to use Black as a colour, though I'll have to go back and have another study at their tutorials!

Magnolia-licious Highlites have a challenge to make a clean and simple card.

There's also quite a few spooky / halloween themed challenges this week:
Stampin for the weekend #21
Polkadoodle #23
Creative Inspirations #32
Crafty Creations #38

Candy Corn Christmas

Challenge #83 at Cute Card Thursday is Candy Corns. I don't have any stamps with sweeties on them, so this was as close as I could get using Christmas Candy sticks instead!
My first attempt at using Flower Soft was a bit hit and miss ... I should have watched the tutorials on You Tube BEFORE I actually put it on my card!
The candy sticks and stripey line embellishments are 3-d gel stickers I won a while back in a One Stop Craft Challenge.
Also for Die Cut Dreams challenge #19 is Winter Wonderland ... and I'm soooo behind in my master plan of getting all my Christmas cards done and dusted before Christmas eve!

Simon Says .... Get Well Soon!

ETA: I won the Simon Says challenge with this card This was another of my new goodies - I've been eyeballing this adorable Helz Cuppleditch stamp for AGES and finally caved in and ordered it. Don't ya just love his little bandage!

The Simon Says challenge this week is to make a Get Well Soon card, so it was perfect timing to get a bit of ink on my new stamp! Coloured with copic markers to match the BP (looks a better colour in real life)

Sketch from Sketch Girl #7

C4C7 Hoppy Birthday

This little froggy was one of the goodies that popped through my post box today - I ordered some new stamps from the Glitter Pot on Monday and they arrived today, how's that for service! Coloured with copic markers and popped up on dimensionals. BG versamarked with an old flower stamp. Some red stickles added for a bit of bling.
Greeting stamp from Stampin Up, frog from Stampendous

Sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges sketch #7

Alice's birthday card

I made this card for my friend who is a serious cat lover, but it's one of those cards that kinda looked better in my mind! Not sure why I don't like it, maybe the colours, or maybe my pants job on the colouring! Anyway, its too late now to make another card!
Image was a freebie a while back from Mo's Digital Pencil, coloured with copic markers and primas coloured to match.

Are you sitting comfortably..?

I managed to get NINE challenges into this card, but to be honest it was a bit of a fluke as quite a few of them were halloweeney type challenges. Bats coloured with copic markers, eyes with a white gel pen; heads glued down and wings popped up on dimensionals. Black stickles added for some glitz.

1. Pile it On #19: Ready for Halloween

2. Sweet Sunday sketch #40

3. Kraftin Kimmie's challenge #2: Who's got some buttons

4. One Stop Craft challenge #51: Halloween

5. Cute Card Thursday #82: Spook Fest

6. Papertake Weekly: The Dark Side

7. Crafty Creations #37: Blue

8. ABC Challenge : F is for Flying (well bats fly don't they!)

9. Corrosive Challenge #34: Spooky Times

PHEW! I need a sit down now!

Ribbon, buttons and papers

It's been a terrible dark drizzly day today ... the highlight was buying a new hoover (!) But on the bright side I had plenty of time for crafting as the weather was too rubbish to do anything else, and life's too short for housework!

I received this image from a fellow crafter ages ago,  Paula (Pjay). Coloured her with copic markers and coloured buttons, flower and dew drop in matching brown.

Sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar #73

And CRAFT Challenge #21 is a recipe: 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 papers.

CPS138: Cluck Cluck

Sketch from Card Positioning Systems #138. I don't have any long envelopes so amended the sketch a bit! Penny Black stamp - coloured with copic markers and stickles added for some bling.

SPOOKtacular

ETA: I won the Stamptacular Sunday challenge!

This week's Stamptacular Sunday's challenge #29 is SPOOKtacular. Lovely Linda sent me this cute dracula recently - I coloured him with copic markers and the embellishments are foam toppers. The BP has been rediscovered in my stash, I used to use this fuzzy paper (don't know what its called) all the time, but I couldn't tell you the last time I used it! Sentiment from Stampin Up.
Might send this one to my nephew for Halloween.

Sketch Saturday #73

I gave this little girl another outing today as I need some birthday cards for my stash. Layout from Sketch Saturday #73 and colour combo from Colour Create challenge #29 - red, yellow, black & white

Ultra Clean & Simple card

How's this for a Clean and Simple card from the Fall-To-Layout #64. Just a piece of fancy mirrored paper, a bit of ribbon and a silver flower buckle-thingy and ta-da... finished! (I'm not entirely convinced that I actually like it though!)

JUGS3: Quick Congrats Card

I needed a card in a hurry for Greg's niece who just passed her driving test, so cased an older card of mine from a splitcoaststamper clean and simple challenge. These stamps are from one of my oldest sets from www.onefourzero.co.uk Popped the blue cars up on 1mm dimensionals and the red one on 2mm dimensionals.

Colour combo from Just Us Girls challenge #3

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #54 is to Dig Deep and use an old stamp

Hig Hopes Challenge: Recycle

High Hopes challenge #48 is Lets Go Green (recycle something) I had planned to use some of my recycled ribbon (I keep all the ribbons from the inside shoulders of new clothes) but I went ahead and put my card together without checking I actually had some ribbon that matched! So I ended up 'recycling' a button ...feeble, eh?
I keep all my old buttons, especially the white/clear ones as they're so easy to colour and get a good match to your card.

I won this little ant from a HH challenge ages ago - coloured with copic markers and mounted with dimensionals. He should have antaenae bu I cut them off as I wanted to pop him up from the card, but I think if you didn't know they were supposed to be there, you mightn't miss them!!

Creative Card Crew #32 is Scallops

And finally Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge #1 is Birthday .... have you seen the cute new stamp range? I love her little girl with the cupcakes.
