Goofy Easter Bunny

Just a quickie post tonight ... Vampire Diaries is on telly and it's just about the only thing I sit down to watch!

No colouring on this card (except the bunny's ears!).  Cloud and bunny popped up on dimensionals.   Added some googly eyes to make him look even sillier (but don't think they really show in pic).  Hand stitched border (its nice and neat as I used my broken sewing machine to punch the holes!)

Right, that's me!  I'm away.
Hope its nice and sunny with you, its been absolutely glorious this past few days here in Northern Ireland .... just worried now that the weather will think we've had our summer now!

Another Baby Lauren card

I wasn't overly happy with my card for Baby Lauren (couple of posts down), so I had another go - her Mum framed the last baby card I made a few years  ago, so no pressure then!  Oh, and no I haven't forgotten to put the full date on, I need to check what it is first (... it's not the first time I've made a special-order card and put the wrong details on. Ha!)

I've used the same Elzybell's stamp and Martha Stewart butterflies, but this time I used this gorgeous My Mind's Eye DP (I've only just got this pack and can't stop myself using it!)  Small scallop die from Taylored Expressions.  Teddy coloured with promarkers. Chalked sky.

Easter Bunnies

Ohhh we've had a beautiful day today, nice and warm and a wee bit of a breeze.  Got our spuds planted and the ground turned over for planting our onions tomorrow.  We're getting very adventurous this year and we're also going to have a go at growing peas - I remember munching my way through my Granda's fruit and veg patch as a child... I hope my peas will be as tasty as the 'stolen' ones I had back then!

I've popped my middle bunny up on dimensionals and given them all glossy eyes and teeth.  Martha Stewart grass border punch.

Card for Baby Lauren

Oops, my day off work has vanished, and nothing to show for it but a walk in the park, a pot of potato and leek soup (yummy, even if I do say so myself!) and this wee card.  Didn't manage to get any of the spring cleaning done that I'd planned, ah well, there's always next weekend. Ha.

This wee bear is an oldie Elzybell's stamp, sadly the store is now closed.  I've also used my Paper Smooches alphabet (my peel off letters are now sadly neglected!) and DP from .  The ribbon and button are also oldies from my stash.  Die-namics border. Hand stitched edge.  Haven't stuck down the date as I'm not sure I like it (and I'm also not sure it's the right date Ha!)

Birthday card for Ian

Happy St Patrick's Day!  It's been a glorious sunny day today, perfect weather for all the parades today.  No 'drowning the shamrock' for me ... I took Ruby for a long walk this morning and then this afternoon she 'helped' me tackle the weeds in the back garden. By 'helped' I mean every time I bent down to pull out a rogue weed she was over with her nose in the weed pile and wanting to play!

I've had this ribbon in my stash for nearly a year now, too nice to use!  - when I measured it out the '10s' were in the perfect spot to peek out the side of my image.
High Hopes image and leaves - coloured with promarkers; silver peel offs; DP from an Echo Park Christmas pack... v. trendy with all the chevrons!  Clear gloss added to his eyes and teeth, and green sparkles to the vine leaves.

Right, that's enough chitter chatter.  It's movie night again ... Rise of the Planet of the Apes .... Greg's choice, not mine :-P

(PS ... got my fancy signature from Gif-mania)

Erin's birthday card

OMGosh, where did the week go?! I can't believe it's almost Friday again already!  I just wish the weekend wouldn't go as fast... but at least it's St Patrick's Day this weekend so we get an extra day off on Monday, hurrah!

I've a wee order in for some children's cards, so this is the first one.  The central panel is popped up on dimensionals, as is the birthday greeting, and I paper pieced my flower and butterfly.  Coloured with promarkers and loads of diamonds added, real ones of course dharlink!

    Flowers for Mother's Day

When my mojo gets stuck I go CASEing .. sometimes to the featured stamper over at Splitcoaststampers, but this one was directly inspired by Kelly's gorgeous card on Simon Says blog (there's even step by step instructions)

The only stamps I used were my Paper Smooches alphabet and little heart, and the background stamp (Prima).  My button is from my stash and it matches my gorgeous DP perfectly, I couldn't believe it when I found it!

Anyway, Spring has definitely sprung here in Northern Ireland ... here's a wee pic of Ruby in our local park this morning, posing amongst the daffodils!

    Challenges entered:

    Doggy birthday

{sigh} my mojo has been playing hide and seek this past while, so it was good to have time to sit down today and have a wee play!  We've had a lovely dry Spring weekend (again ... 2 in a row!!!) and I  tackled the weeds in our front garden yesterday, so today I'm aching all over!  How can your muscles in your butt be sore from weeding?!! I definitely need to get fit!

This card uses a Little Claire stamp and gorgeous DP from my SIL (sorry don't know make).  Paper Smooches sentiment.

    Good Luck!

Ohhh we've had a beautiful sunny spring day today, spoiled only by having to go to work! Ha.  But its lovely to see all the spring flowers and daffodils in the gardens, and all the wee baby lambs are starting to appear in the fields too.

I made this yesterday and forgot to upload it, so here you go!

    Dream Valley Challenge #24

It's Dream Valley Challenge time again, and this fortnight its ....
    Mother's Day
As usual, you can make whatever you please, doesn't have to be a card, but no more than 3 entries please.  There's some fab prizes up for grabs from One Stop Card Crafts and Crafty Ribbons ...if you're not in you can't win!

This is my last challenge as part of the Dream Valley DT, so I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Melly and the girls ... it's been a pleasure and I fully intend to keep stalking your blogs!

My card uses a Tickled Pink digi - coloured with pencils and clear gloss added to her boots, belt and hairband.  The stars on the image are the offcuts from the star die and the flower is an oldie from my stash.

    Other challenges...
