Greg's Birthday Card

ETA: I won the One Stop Craft Challenge with Greg's Birthday card!
When I saw this Shirleys2Girls stamp I just HAD to get it for Greg's birthday card ... he could sleep on a knife edge!  I've booked a few days off work next week, so hopefully we'll get a few bright sunny days like today.  Though we also had a bit of snow which might 'put the scuppers' on a day out if it keeps up!

Coloured with copics, then the main image and the chair are raised on dimensionals.  The BP is stamped using versamark with a little bone but I couldn't get it to show up in the pic.

Colour combo from Little Paper Shop #52 - red, chocolate and kraft

Creative Card Crew #43 is Punch It

And One Stop Craft challenge #65 is make it Personal

ETA: I won the PolkaDoodles challenge with this card!

I'm so in love with my new stamps from Shirleys2Girls - they're all just perfect for a Clean & Simple card.  The little doggy is coloured with copic markers and popped up on dimensionals.  Added black stickles to his nose and to the dotty BG.

You ready for Christmas yet...?!

I thought for my Sweet'n Sassy Digi Blog DT post today I'd ink up this cutie that was released in December - I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas - if you haven't heard the song, you're missing out! (I've posted a link to the song on the SNSS Digi blog). It was my New Year's crafty resolution to make a Christmas card or two every month, so this un's for my 2010 stash! No making cards till midnight all of December for me this year! LOL!

I coloured my hippo with copic markers and added some red nail varnish to her tootsies ... well every girl likes to look her best! Her bow is also popped up on dimensionals.

Don't forget that Thursday is Digi Day at Sweet'n Sassy Stamps. There's no less than FOUR fabulous new release sets for you designed by Korin and Leah - be sure and pop by the Digi blog tomorrow to see what Digi DT member Melanie has made for you!

Marlene's Birthday Card

Made this for a friend of my Mum.  I got this image in a swap ages and ages ago - Penny Black.  Coloured with copics and little gems added for some bling.

Hearts & Flowers

Booo, its Monday again, isn't it amazing how time passes at double quick speed at the weekend!  On a more positive note, we had a beautiful bright sunny day today and I really noticed how much the days are starting to stretch ... it was nearly bright when I was leaving to go to work and it had only just got dark when I got home!  Maybe Spring is on its way!

Quixotic challenge #10 this week is to Ink up an old stamp - this is from an old Stampin Up set I bought off ebay a long time ago! Coloured it with watercolour pencils and popped a few of the little flowers up on dimensionals.

Allsorts Challenge #36 is Hearts and Flowers

10-minute card

In fact it might even have taken less than 10 minutes!  Used some rub-on stickers, a gold peel off greeting and some little gems, and "Bob's your uncle"!  Done!
Couldn't get the colours to photograph right - the green BP is the same colour as the green flowerpot.

A Bright Birthday Chick!

Well how's this for a bright and cheery card ... just what's needed on a dark dreary damp day like we've had here today!
Blame Charisma Cardz on my colours - their 3rd challenge is to use fruity colours

A Naked Card...!

The Loonie Stampers Challenge #76 is Naked ... no brads, ribbon or embellishments, just stamps and card, tough challenge eh? but perfect for a Clean & Simple card (are googlie eyes an embellishment?)  I've used some stickles on the doggy's nose and his cake, but stickles aren't an 'embellishment', they're an 'essential'!

Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday challenge #40 is Share Your Indulgence - 'one' of mine is Cake, there's nothing nicer than a cup of tea and a bit of cake, especially if its chocolate....drool, drool!

My colour combo is from Colour Create #36
(I don't have any Kraft colour, so used the closest I could find)

And the sketch is from Carols Sketch Fun #18

Simon Says ... Punch It!

So I said to Greg, "Do you like my new stamp"
"Ha Ha", he says, "what's it got in its mouth?"
"Feathers"
"Oh!", he says, "that's a good'un!"
"That's why I put the birdie paper in the background", I said
His reply ....?
"You're sick!"

Stamp from Shirleys2Girls - coloured with copic markers and clear gloss and glitter added to feathers; black stickles added to nose.

This week's Simon Says Challenge and Creative Card Crew #43 are both Punch It - I used my Martha Stewart punch

Greg's Valentine's card

This is going to be Greg's Valentine's card - I actually managed to get it made without him seeing it, not an easy task when you craft in the kitchen!
He's got a small aquarium so the new digi release Pucker Up from Sweet'n Sassy stamps was just perfect for my card! Coloured with copic markers, the fishies popped up on dimensionals and then stickles added to the little hearts and the purple plant. I used a little Stampin Up heart stamped with versamark on my brown BG.  Don't forget to visit the Sweet'n Sassy digi blog to see what the rest of the DT made with these images!

The latest digi sets are shown below - click on the link to go to the Sweet'n Sassy shop, and pop by their blog on Thursday to see the new releases! There's also a fun day on the PCP site with SNSS on Thursday - click here to go to the Sweet'n Sassy page on PCP .... see you there!

Pink'n'grey Good Luck card

Cute Card Thursday #95 is a colour combo - Pink and Grey, and its one of my favourites.  I coloured my flower to match the DP but it looks very dark in the photo - its not just as dark IRL.

The Corrosive Challenge #47 is Let's Go Digi - I used a Heather Ellis download

And luckily Bee Crafty challenge #22 is to use your favourite colour combo, along with a digi

Sketch from C.R.A.F.T. challenge #33

Would anyone like ....

I won this stamp set ages and ages ago, but have never used it as I don't really make 'fall' cards.
Its called Tumbling Scarecrow by Firecracker Designs - click HERE to see it on Pamela's website.
If you think you would use it, please leave your name here - first one to claim it gets it!

A very purple Bunch of Baubles!

Aren't these little baubles just the funniest!  Coloured them with copic markers and added some stickles to their hats and white flowersoft to their baubles.  The ribbon doesn't look quite right in the photo, but its a much better match IRL.

Sketch from Stamps and Smiles #48

Stampin B's challenge #41 is a Winter Fun Card

Three Clovers Thursday #47 is also a winter themed card

Colour combo from Easy Craft Projects #4#

And finally Creative Inspirations #43 is New Year, New Products - I used a new stamp from IBrakeForStamps

No stamp card

Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenge #6 is a toughie this week ...No stamped images, you can stamp sentiments and use punches, diecuts and stickers (anything as long as it is not a stamped image or a digi image).  I used a little felt butterfly I won in Ginny's candy a while back and a silver peel off greeting.

Crafty Creations #50 is Textures

Here come the Boyz...

Susie's Sassy Challenge #6 is to make a card for a boy, so it was the perfect excuse to get some ink on my new stamp from IBrakeForStamps.  I used the wall from 'Peeking Over' by Woodware, but kinda missed my aim as I had intended his hand to sit on the wall.

Colour combo form  Our Creative Corner - use blue and green

Charisma Cards challenge this week is Anything New - I've used my new stamp

Colour combo from Copic Colour challenge #47 - I didn't have W5 or YG07 so used W1 and YG06 instead.
Supplies: Ant from High Hopes stamps and sentiment from Simon Says.  Coloured with copic markers and red stickles added to accents on the little ant.

New Monday Challenge site

Well I finally found it! .... I spent all the run up to Christmas searching my stash for the snowflake punch that I thought I had....nope, was nowhere to be found.  I almost had myself convinced that I maybe didn't have a snowflake punch!  So of course when I was tidying away my Christmas embellishments what did I find, and in plain view of course!  Grrrr....!
On the bright side, our snow has melted ... hooray!  To be replaced with our more traditional weather .... rain ... booo!   Though when we were going over the mountain to work this morning in Belfast we hit huge snowdrifts and almost didn't get anywhere ... they were saying on the radio to take care as there was a 'bit of snow', when what they should have been saying is 'only a fool would go down this road'!  Strange how our snow was melting, though about 10 miles down the road it was a total winter wonderland!

Sweet'n Sassy stamps have started a new challenge every Monday over on the SNR site - Motivate Me Monday.  Their first challenge is Let it Snow, another great opportunity to make a card for my stash for Christmas!  I used my new stamp from Shirley's2Girls and my new ribbon from Crafty Ribbons who have the most fantastic sale on their ribbon packs - down from £5 to £1 and if you scroll down to the bottom of their home page there's even an opportunity to get free P&P (or reduced for non-UK) - I'm well impressed with the packs I bought.

Papertake Weekly's challenge is New Beginnings - something new or some new stash

My colour combo is from Simon Says - hot chocolate or colour combo pink & brown

Stamp with Fun # 41 is snowflakes

Another special request ...

So this time I was asked to make a card for a man with a sheep on it!  Luckily this little sheepy was in a farmyard set my Mum gave me for Christmas.  Coloured with copics and the sheep's head popped up on dimensionals and then his hair (?) is popped up again.  The green BG has 'baa...' stamped with versamark.

Hope you're keeping warm!  There's a bit of a thaw on here, but the wind has picked up and it feels as if it's coming straight from Siberia.  Even Ruby refused her walk tonight, and I don't blame her!

Sketch from Limelight Papercrafts #38, with the added challenge of using buttons

Card for a Joiner!

So what would you make for a man who is a joiner?  I had nothing suitable, but had these brads in my stash, so I just stuck a little hammer and saw on.  This stamp is one of my new purchases from Shirley's2Girls.  It doesn't really show in the photo but I added clear gloss to the bone and black stickles to his nose.

Sketch from The Secret Crafter #65

And the Craft Garden's challenge this month is anything NEW - I used my new stamp, new brads, and my new papers I won in Ginny's candy recently

First Chrissy card of 2010!

I'm starting the year as I mean to go on, so this is the first of the stash that I intend to have before Christmas 2010!  This cutie is from High Hopes and is coloured with copic markers - I tried to shade in the fur (instead of wimping out and using flowersoft), think it looks 'OK' but don't think I have the beard quite right!

High Hopes challenge #58 is Put a Bow on it

Home Sweet Home

Oops, I've been shopping again!  I recently came across Shirley's2Girls images and they've a big sale on their stamps....who could resist (not me!)
Coloured these with copic markers and doodled round the edge of the main white panel so I could cut it to match the stamped image.

Colour combo from Loonie Stampers #74

Cute Card Thursday #94 is All New - I used my new stamp

The Corrosive Challenge #45 is to use TWO of your FAVOURITE embellishments - mine is ribbon and gemstones

Pat's Birthday card

Hi Peeps!  Sorry I've been quiet recently but its been too c-c-c-c-cold to craft!  It was MINUS 12 yesterday on the way to work, usually if it goes a few degrees below zero we think its bad!  I don't think I ever remember it being so cold for so long!
Shiver Mind you the novelty hasn't worn off yet for Ruby ... she's still lovin rolling in the snow every time she goes out the door!
Anyway I managed to warm the kitchen enough to make a couple of cards today - this one's for my friend Pat.

Sketch from Shirley's Two Girls with the added twist of Hearts - I versamarked the BG with a little heart stamp from a Stampin Up set.
