Sandra's Birthday card

Ohhh how can it be Sunday evening already!  It's been one of those dreary damp and cold days, so at least I didn't feel guilty not being out and about!
I had a nice morning yesterday at the Craft Show down in Belfast.  Though there were definitely not as many exhibitors as last time, and I didn't really spot that many bargains, except for my new guillotine marked down from £35 to £20!

This wee card is for my workmate.  Not much stamping on this card ... just the Paper Smooches sentiment and the lined squares from Stamps by Judith.  Whimsy die cut butterflies and not sure of make of flower punch.

Layout based on sketch from Sweet Sunday #1172

Hotshot Craft #13 - butterflies
Oldie but a Goodie - anything but Christmas (I've used some old DP)
Crafty Cardmakers #79 - one than one punch or die cut

Sympathy butterflies

Just a wee quick card from me this eve.  My mojo's missing, so if anyone knows where he is, tell him it's about time he got his butt back here!

I paper pieced my lovely butterfy (Stamps by Judith) and popped my central panel up on dimensionals ...  and that's about it really!!
Paper Smooches sentiment.

PS  Donna at Bearly Mine Crafts has a mega candy giveaway until 30 Nov!

Layout is an oldie from CPS Card Sketches - I used #61

10 minute craft dash

I had another go at the 10-minute craft dash ... I think I'm going to be a regular at this as I love this challenge!

Lion from Stamps by Judith (thanks for the reminder that I had this little guy Brenda!) and bunting from Practising Creativity.  Paper Smooches sentiment. All coloured with copics.

My card .... 6 minutes 48secs - if only they were all so quick!

10 minute challenge

I thought I'd have a go at the 10 minute challenge this week .... wow, that's a tough challenge for me!  Usually I kinda have a bit of an idea of what I want to do, but all the colours/DPs/embellies are always subject to change!  So it was a complete change of plan for me to sit and think what I was going to do and get everything ready before I started.  (though I've just noticed I'm too late for their colour challenge, ah well, I'll have to keep a better eye on my calendar for next week!)

Butterfly Thanks

Thanks for all the well wishes to my Mum for her retirement .. she's now in need of some thank you cards!

This one uses this cute butterfly from Stamps by Judith. I've tried to use the 3-2-1 rule of colour (except in this case its 4-3-2!)  Coloured with pencils, doodled border, and Paper Smooches sentiment.

ETA: I got Top 3 at PaperPlay Challenges!

Pastel butterflies

Hi folks!  Sorry I've been MIA again, think I left my mojo behind in sunny Donegal and she's forgotten to come home!  So I've spent the week watching the fab Olympics instead!

I had a look on SCS for some inspiration and decided to CASE this card by Jean aka Naturecoastcrafter, this week's featured stamper.
I used this pretty butterfly from Stamps by Judith, coloured with pencils and some sparkly bling added, and a Paper Smooches sentiment.

Oh, and a wee update on Ruby - she's hurt the ligament in her back leg and limps quite badly when she's been lying sleeping or if she jumps down from something.  Vet thinks she's improving ... I can't see it myself, but we'll give her another week and see how she does.

Cheers Brenda!

Well, did you all watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics?  I thought it was pretty good, and it would have been amazing to actually be there, but unfortunately finances did not permit!  I was down in Belfast yesterday when the Red Arrows flew over, and you could feel the excitement building in anticipation.  Mind you, its a good job I like the Olympics, it's all we've heard about in our media for months!

Its been a showery and blustery day, so between that and watching the Games on the telly, there was only time for a couple of CAS cards.  I spotted this cute wee lion stamp on Brenda's blog (aka Benzi) a while back, and of course he accidentally fell into my shopping basket when I went to investigate the Stamps by Judith website.  Isn't he hilarious, and soooo not scary!
