Give us a cookie!

This fab image was a digi freebie from Mo Manning ages and ages ago, but I kinda think that my colouring skills don't do them justice (I got a bit stuck on his hair and couldn't think how to colour it!)
Coloured with copic markers and doodled round edges with black pen.

Crazy 4 Challenges C$C28 is to make a masculine card

Simon Says ... Sketch

It's Mother's Day in the UK this Sunday, so this is for my Mum!
My pink marker 'splodged' when I started colouring the little hearts on her top, grrrr!  Wonder why that happened?  Anyhoo, the colourless blender took most of it away.

I saw a tutorial on Stamp TV on adding a button to a bow, with the inspired idea of using dental floss coloured with your marker to match - click HERE to see more info.  I was never quite sure on how to do it before, and made the job much harder than it needed to be!

Supplies: image from Heather Ellis, copic markers, blue heart gems, flower gem coloured with copic marker, self adhesive silver gems, silver peel off letters

Housework won't kill you. ...

Oh this sentiment just makes me laugh ... if only we could live by it (and get someone else to do the housework!)
I love this colour combo, don't think I've ever tried it before.  I've just noticed in my photo that the button is nowhere near the centre of the circle, how come I never noticed that IRL?

Supplies: Stamps from Shirleys2Girls, cuttlebug swiss dots folder, copic markers, turquoise butterfly gems, white gel pen

Die Cut Dreams #38 is no flowers allowed

Simon Says are trying to get 400 entries to this week's comp (Mothers Day or Girly) so here's another entry

Splitcoaststampers Clean And Simple challenge CAS57 is: Layer 2 different shapes on your card while keeping it CAS.

Here's another quickie I made at the weekend and forgot to upload!

Accidental sky-themed card!

When I was sponging the sky on the little mouse image I accidentally touched the corner of my main card, too close to the edge to cover up so I just added more sky to the BG ... I 'm really pleased with how it turned out!

Supplies: Stamp is an oldie from Whipper Snapper, coloured with copic markers and glitter added to his nose and to the POP text which is also popped up on dimensionals, clear gloss added to balloons, Silver pearls, Martha Stewart punch, clear button coloured with grey copic marker on the back to match the silver pearls.

Taaa Daa...!

And here it is, my first crocheted flower!  (see previous post for link to make your own!)  Probably doesn't stand up to too much scrutiny, but I think it looks OK!
Supplies: Penny Black stamp, sentiment from Simon Says, copic markers, green gem stones, white embroidery thread, clear gloss on balloon, brad and punched border both from candy wins

Sketch from Sketch Saturday #93

Also for Shirleys 2 Girls challenge S2GSC46, who wanted green to feature on your card (yes I know I've some pink and grey, but there's more green than anything else LOL!)

Mum-to-Be card

I love this stamp from Shirley's 2 Girls - she even looks like the girl I made the card for, same hairdo!

The LO is from Splitcoaststampers SC270 - and its great for using up little scraps of paper.  I used my new punch on the top edges, and then covered it all up with the images (doh!)  Her dress is paper pieced and the rest coloured with copics.
To finish, I hand stitched round the edge with some white embroidery thread.
(BTW, the BP is chocolate brown, but looks so much darker in the photo)

One stop craft challenge #70: Sew Simple
ABC Challenge: P is for Paper Piecing
And I'm also entering again into the Simon Says Mothers Day/Girly challenge

Simon Says ... Mothers Day / Girly

Simon Says challenge this week is Mothers Day or Girly cards.  I can't post my Mother's Day card yet or she'll see it so here's a girlie card instead!  I used my new border punch on the red c/s, and then proceeded to cover it up with the image and embellies ... Duh!  (An ongoing theme as you'll see in my Mum-To-Be card!)
Added some green stickles to my flower edges and to the brads for some sparkle.
Though I think its a bit top-heavy down the side with all the flowers (...or should that be side-heavy!)

Sun 2Hope you're having a great weekend - its lovely and sunny here and I'm just back from a walk with Ruby WITH NO COAT ON! Seems like its been winter for such a long time this year, so its great to feel a bit of warmth in the sun.

Also for CRAFT challenge #40: Mothers Day or Flowers
and Polka Doodles #9: Wings - I got this little butterfly charm ages ago in Bunny Zoe's shop, and liked it so much I could hardly bring myself to use it!

Cute doggy-themed birthday!

I needed a card in a hurry for my doggy-lovin friend to give to her 5 year old neighbour!  So this is it!  I remembered I had this stamp from Pink Gems designs that I know Isabel will love!  She 'baby sits' dogs and Anna loves to come and vist them all.
Coloured with copic markers and clear glaze added to the icing.

Creative Card Crew's challenge this week is Celebrate

Colour combo (sort of) from Trigger Tuesday -  I managed to squeeze in the stripes, the pink and yellow but in my mind the blue colour was purple (don't know why, blame it on being too busy in work! LOL!)
