Jungle birthday

Not only did my mojo leave me mid-card, but my blue marker also ran out! Grrrr!
Think I lost this card with the ribbon - wrong choice, but when its stuck down, its stuck down for good!

SNSS Digi - Birdie Delivery

ETA: I was in the Card Patterns Super Six with this card!
For my Sweet'n Sassy DT post this week I've used his sweet little bird (Birdie Delivery - only $0.99) which was released at the end of January but I haven't had a chance to play with it till now! You'll have to trust me when I tell you the button looks the same colour as the bird in real life and the darker pink in the DP, but my photography skills are seriously lacking! Roll on Spring and the brighter nights for better photos!

I used my dotty embossing folder on the central image and then popped the bird up on dimensionals. And of course every card needs some bling, so I added some clear gems and silver stickles to the little heart, and a little silver safety pin to the bow to finish.

Don't forget that EVERY DAY is DIGI DAY at Sweet'n Sassy Stamps - check the home page HERE and scroll down to see what's new!  And then swing by the SNSS Digi Blog for loads of inspiration from the rest of the Digi Divas!

Some special requests ...

I've been busy all weekend making some special request cards (which I hate making, especially if the requests are very specific!)
Anyway this card was made for a young teenager -  got this image ages ago in a swap, must have been 'saving' it for this occasion!  I think its the first time EVER that I've coloured hair black and am happy with the result!

I got out my watercolour pencils for a change for this one.  I love this happy clown from High Hopes - added some dew drops as the juggling balls and some orange stickles to his shirt and flower.

This one's for a baby girl's first birthday who loves teddy bears, so this stamp from Kars was just perfect!  I added a purple crochet flower (which isn't as dark as it looks in the pic), I don't have very many and haven't taught myself to make them yet so its very precious!

Siobhan's birthday card

I was asked to make this for a friend of a friend called Siobhan (an old Irish name pronounced 'Shove-On')  Its been such a dark damp and generally dreary day here that I felt obliged to use the brightest papers I had!
I paperpieced the cupcake wrapper and added diamond ice stickles to the icing on the cake for loads of bling.  Silver peeloff greeting and letters to finish.

Temptation!

Something about these stamps from Shirley's 2 Girls just appeals to my wicked side!
And who says you can't have a BLUE cat!
Coloured with copic markers and clear gloss added to fish bowl. Took the colour combo from my lovely new papers from Daisy and Dandelion.

SNSS Digi - Snail & Friend

For my Sweet'n Sassy DT post today I've used this sweet little snail (remember to quote me during the summer after the slugs and snails have ravaged my garden that I called him sweet!).
I coloured it with my faithful copic markers and popped the shell up on dimensionals.  (The shell does match my DP but as usual I couldn't get it photographed right).  Added some bling, some clear dew drops and a tiny bit of stickles on the butterfly and Ta Da .... done!  Simples!

If you'd like to nab a little snail of your own click HERE to go to the SNSS shop - only $3 for the set!  Sweet'n Sassy are going digital so all the clear stamp sets are currently 50% off ... they're selling out fast so you'd better be quick!
And don't forget to check on the Sweet'n Sassy Digi Blog tomorrow for details of the new releases.
Hope you all enjoyed the Blog Hop on Monday, I know the Digi Divas did!

Hoppin on a Rocket!

Frog PrinceHave you joined the hop? ... Sweet'n Sassy Stamps Digi Divas are having a Lots of LOVE blog hop and scavenger hunt to celebrate their stamps all going digital  - stop at the main SNSS site to get the info on the hop and find out how you could be the lucky winner of SNSS entire January digi releases, that's 14 digi sets!
And there's also a adorable freebie for EVERYONE who participates in our Spread the LOVE blinkie campaign!   (Links to the DT blogs are on the main SNSS blog, or you can also find them in my post about the hop in my sidebar)  And don't forget to stop at the SNSS site once you've hopped to leave your final answer!

My card for the hop is this non-traditional Valentine Card ... no LOVEy dovey hearts and kisses here!  I used the little rocket from the Sweet'n Sassy digi set Blast Off and the sentiment and clouds are from Soar Above. (Each set is only $3 each!)

I stamped a little star on the blue BG with versamark ink and embossed the black BG with stars.  The rocket and clouds are popped up on dimensionals and some silver giltter added to the rocket for a bit of sparkle.  I LOVE how it turned out!

I'm entering this card into PolkaDoodles challenge #4 to make a non-traditional Valentine's card
Easy Craft Project #5 is to Create something with a Valentine's theme for a man
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays #25 have an open challenge this week
And The Craft Garden's February challenge is to make a card for a boy

Simon Says ... New Baby!

This little card isnt quite finished as baby hasn't made his/her appearance yet!  So I've left a space in the top corner for the baby's name, if 'it' is a boy!  (Girl card to follow...!)
Coloured my little baby with copic markers and added clear stickles to the bubbles.
My bow is made using the little Bow Maker plastic thingymajig, the bestest invention ever!
