Xmas Card #22

ETA: I got Top 3 at ABC Xmas with this card

Well, TGIF!  And the drinkies are chilling in the fridge as we speak!  Hurrah!

Anyway, High Hopes challenge this week is to make a card for a boy or girl (though I suppose this is girly with all that pink!)  BTW I was lucky enough to win their recent 'spread the word' candy so I can't wait for some of their fabulous new release goodies to pop through the letter box!
Coloured Santa with copic markers and some Smooch Illuminate added to Santa's green costume.  I've run out of glue so for his furry bits I just used some Glossy Accents and dropped some white flower soft into it and it seems to be holding OK.

ABC Christmas challenge : S is for Santa (with the extra challenge of not making his outfit red)

S2G Blog Hop!

****New Release Blog Hop!****

S2G's DT is SALUTING the 'CRITTERS' in our lives... be they furry, fuzzy or even fluffy!

The sisters are RELEASING ALL NEW DIGI Stamps that have to do with our 'little 4-legged friends'.

Those sisters are going NUTS again with a fabulous BLOG CANDY package!
Everything from ribbons to glitters! (Check the "PIC"out...WOW!)

We'll have 1 GRAND PRIZE WINNER of the blog candy and 3 critter digis and a 2nd place winner of 2 critter digis!

Here’s how to win….Grab your favorite furry friend and let’s go for a walk around the DT’s blogs! . . On the last stop you will be directed back to the S2G Challenge blog so you can leave us some love.  The winners will be selected from the comments left on the Challenge Blog.

If you walked here from Chris’s blog, then you’re in the right place.
If not, head on back to the S2G Challenge blog  to start from the beginning. You don’t want to miss a thing!

**Don’t forget ** We also have our regular Twisted Thursday Challenge with the usual TWIST ~ this week is to use ...spots and dots. (Chances are better to win if you use a S2G DIGI or Clear Stamp.) We'll also pick someone from this Challenge to be a GUEST DT for a CUSTOMER BLOG HOP next month!

Ready for your next stop on your walk?…
Then head on over to Ann’s blog and I hope you had fun while visiting here!

Here's my Spots and Dots card - I thought my Martha Stewart drippy goo punch could look a bit like splashy water and embossed the spots on it, and then used a pale ink pad to stamp the bigger circles on the BP. Its hard to see in my pic but I also used some turquoise stickles on the dots on the image.

I'd also like to enter this card into Stamping Vacation's challenge - What a guy - Create a masculine card with anything that represents speed!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 66

So what's on my workdesk (aka Kitchen table) today?.... well actually NOTHING!  No half made cards or half drunk cuppas!  There should really be a pile of ironing on my table, but hey, life's too short!
So instead I thought I'd share alll this loveliness which the postie delivered yesterday - a recent win on Audrey's blog (hippieaud)  (and she's got more candy on offer if you're quick!)
Right, I'm for for an evening in front of the telly ... and see how many people are for the 'chop' in Midsomer Murders!

Simple Anniversary card

What a grey day its been and the wind is really starting to whipp up outside, definately a day for crafting!  Though I think my mojo is having a bit of a Sunday Snooze, so I kept this one as clean and simple as they come.

The Pink Elephant TPE82 - Mostly White

Crafty Creations #83 - white plus one

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #99 - clean and simple

Supplies
I embossed the hearts with an Ellison 'XO' folder and there's a little butterfly in the top corner of each too (I sooooo love my MS butterfly punch!). Sentiment from Elzybells

Maya's 3rd Birthday

I won this little stamp ages ago and this is the first time it's seen ink!  Oops... now that I've uploaded the card I've just noticed that I forgot to colour her hair and her shoes.  And the cat look like a bit of an odd choice for this card, but the little girl this is for has one of her own that she just adores!  I still think this card needs something so I'll have to have a think about it for a day or two.

I found this great LO over at Limelight Papercrafts #55 which was just perfect for using up all those little scraps that are too pretty to throw out.

Basic Grey challenge #28 - paper piecing

Totally papercrafts #32 - Charming

Charisma Cardz challenge #35 is to be inspired by a song ... I thought this image was a good match to Simply Red's Fairground

Supplies
Stamp: Little Red Papershop
Paper: Basic Grey 'Lime Rickey'
Accessories: Pink Stickles; silver cat charm; silver peel off letters; Mac'n'cheese alphabet dies; cuttlebug button embossing border

Xmas Card #21

I tried to make a Vintage style card but don't know if I got it right or not!  I distressed my main image by roughing up the edges and then used blue chalk to add a bit of colour, but I think I should really have distressed the edges of my DP too.  Anyway, at the very least I would say that Tilda is wearing a Vintage outfit!
I added clear gloss to her little welly boots and paper pieced her outfit, adding Smooch illuminate and then pink stickles to her 'fur' trim.

Stamptacular Sunday #74 - Pretty in Pink

Paper Sundaes #33 - Christmas in August

Bunny Zoe's monthly challenge #3 - Vintage

Craft Your Days away #3 - Girly'n Glitter

DCD Christmas club challenge #33 - Tilda in pink

Christmas Tags

Hope you're having a good weekend ... our Saturday has been a bit grim so far with nothing but rain all day!  And its the air show up at Portrush today ... I can hear the big planes taking off from the airport but the clouds are so low I can't see anything.  Maybe it will clear shortly so I can at least catch a glimpse of the Red Arrows!

Anyway, this is just a quickie for the High Hopes challenge of 'Anything But a Card'.  I made the first one with the stripey DP, wasn't sure if I liked it or not, so made another much more simple version and like it a lot better!  Same High Hopes stamp, 2 different looks!

BTW, if you're thinking of starting your Halloween or Christmas cards, High Hopes have just had a fab new release - I think I NEED to get them all LOL!  (click their blinkie in my left column to see all the new releases)

Shirley's 2 Girls Guest Designer!

Aren't I the lucky one to be asked to be Shirley's 2 Girls Guest Designer for September!  I'm a big fan of their stamps and digis as they're always so much fun and easy to colour too!  If you'd like one of these naughty cats of your own you can get your digi HERE, or why not have a look at the clear stamps - there's a fab BOGO free sale on at the minute.

This month it's Critter Time on the challenge blog and the Twist this week is to use flocking.

I followed a recent tutorial on Stamp TV which shows how to make your own fancy flocked DP ... but be warned ... its very messy and the flock stuff  gets everywhere!  But I do like the end result.  I also got a bit carried away and flocked my brads and the little fish bowl too!
Why don't you join in the fun and upload your flocked card at S2G  ... you could win 2 digis from the store!

Other challenge deets:

ABC challenge: C is for Charms

Colour combo from SPCC #63 (though I don't have any razzleberry so this pinky colour is the next closest I had)

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 65

What's on my workdesk (or should I say kitchen table) today?  Just a little card for one of our volunteers in work who has been recently diagnosed with cancer and isn't in great shape.  I hadn't a clue what to make him till I remembered this Stampin Up set - he works in a squad who do gardening for charities and they drive a blue van, so the little pick up truck and flowers were just perfect.
Apart from that its the usual suspects .... the half drunk (now cold) cup of tea and this week's nail polish (Barely There ... I'm being boring this week!)
Here's the finished version... off now for a nosey at some other messy creative desks!

Xmas card #20

ABC Christmas challenge this fortnight is R = Rudolph, and I think this little digi is the only Rudolph I have (sorry can't remember where it came from!)  Added the little foam snowflakes and covered them with stickles (sorry can't remember where they came from either!) (....yes its been one of those days!)

2 Sketches 4 You #60 (I used Courtney's bonus sketch)

Paper Sundaes #33 - Christmas in August

Cupcake Craft #106 - Let's get digital

SUPPLIES
Stamp: digital image; peel off sentiment
Papers: Dovecraft 'Ho Ho Ho'
Accessories: circular nestabilities; martha stewart border punch; red gems; clear Glossy Accents; red glitter and black glitter; foam snowflakes; Frosted Lace stickles

Didn't manage to get to the beach yesterday - figured there'd be hoards heading that way for the Oul Lamas Fair in Ballycastle (and hoards of wasps there too!), but instead we found this pretty spot minutes from our own wee town centre ... I've lived here for 40 years and never knew we had our own Salmon Leap (its small but ever so pretty!)
